The Off the Hook traditional video slot is impressively designed with a humorous undertone. The phrase 'Off the hook' is used when someone is fortunate enough to escape a situation that could have led to dire consequence. With a hook being the main device to be successful at catching a fish, it all fits into place when you see the big grin the fish has on his face from the logo illustration. This is emphasised more so by the fisherman only having an old boot attached to his line. The Off The Hook animation isn't the smoothest around. However the accompanying sounds show that Microgaming have taken more time to design this slot instead of recycling sounds like they have for certain other slots in their library. Spin the reels and hear a playful song reminiscent of the simple pleasures in life. As the reels stop you also hear a water droplet sound to coincide with each one stopping and when you drop a winning combination you shall hear a funky banjo motif to let you know you have won. The icons on the reels range from the traditional BARs and cherries to the more specialist smiling fish and fishing lures.
