The intro video to this video slot (something that is becoming quite customary especially for Rival) is a wonderful prelude to the gloomy life of a ‘hobo’. With a superb atmospheric melancholic guitar melody you start to gain an emotional attachment for the poor soul…until he sees a bunch of rich folk and the money signs start to cloud his vision!

The minute you get to the reels you’ll hear the typical background sounds of a lively casino lobby but if you listen carefully enough, you will hear the original guitar theme slowed down slightly atop of an energy-filled break-beat rhythm…something for the music aficionados amongst you!

Setting aside the introduction clip, the game doesn’t astound you to the point of being blown away. The interface is the standard type, the colour scheme is quite simple and the choice of icons is hardly imaginative. By the looks of things, the main visual treat is in the intro, and the bonus game. Look especially for the Coca-Cola can, the hoard of people (the Hobo’s Hoard) and the trashcan as they are the special icons. The hobo with cash signs in his eyes, and the hobo in his home (the cardboard box) are also brilliant icons to spin onto the lines.
