The Cool Bananas video slot is quite unique with an absence of a strong theme. It hints on the absurd (with a monkey dressed in a floral patterned shirt) and toys with the imagination (the heroine is blonde and there are skyscrapers; all leading to a parody of the King Kong films; as you would imagine). The reel animation is quite clunky compared to other various slots in this genre, and the Cool Bananas sounds themselves are from the same library CryptoLogic often uses. There are on occasions simple animations and special composed sounds, e.g. when the mighty monkey icon is used in a substitution it will trigger him to dance and make a beat-box type rhythm which can be highly amusing. The Cool Bananas slots game itself is standard because it lacks certain modern gimmicks. The addition of a scatter or a bonus feature would put it up there with the best of the other slots; however it does make the most out of what it has.

This game does have high rewards (especially when you match the heroine five times on an active payline to drop the top award) and has many ways to reach all the prizes meaning there's no reason why you wouldn't want to keep on playing.
