Review

From the moment you set your eyes and ears on this slot you know what you are in for…a love-story themed slot, the type of which haven’t been bettered in years. The soft colour scheme, the smooth lines of the character illustrations and even the gentle swaying of the red roses in the background help signify the effect of this slot machine. Compared with the other Movie Mayhem slots themed on science fiction, silent film and fantasy, this is no doubt themed for the romantics amongst you. For instance take note of how the sun sets and rises to give the impression the days and nights pass effortlessly in the background too-that romantic enough for you? ;)

Though this slot has the appearance of being technologically advanced compared to many others, Cryptologic’s choice of recycling their old sounds for the reel spins and even the slow-ish speed of their reel animations is really disappointing considering the potential this slot has. Coupled with the use of high-suit card values also add to the opinion that the creative juices stopped at a certain point when developing this Movie Mayhem slot.

However when you look at the depth within the animations for the Lady (wild) or the Embrace (scatter) icons that occur whenever you win a prize, you do see some ‘magic’ (as they say). Aside from those two icons the main icon you will want to reveal is the Hero riding a horse. 2, 3, 4 or 5 of this icon across an active payline will drop you 2, 25, 100 or 1,000 times your line bet which can result in the second best line combinations about.

Reasonable game-play combined with a specialist theme but containing wonderful prizes and the chance to win big progressive jackpots make Sunday Afternoon Classics a more than suitable choice for most slots aficionados.
