Just like the Playtech designed slot, Forest of Wonders, the Wanted slot also has a small intro animation to set you in the mood this game creates. You'll see a poster with a bad-guy's image on with "dead or alive" written underneath, then a hand (most probably the evil culprit's) tearing it down. The slot itself unlike most is in silence until you start your reel spins. There are three levels of icons in this game; the special triggers, the high-paying baddies and the regulars. The special triggers are the dynamite (wild symbol and also top award earner), cash sack (scatter) and the pistol (bonus). The high-paying baddies are 'Bandit', 'Loco Devil' and 'Mad Dog' (the last of which has a line multiplier of 1,000 times). The regulars are your standard playing card symbols of 10, J, Q, K and A. The animation of the reels is smooth and effective and when you drop a winning combo the animated icons that follow are also extremely effectual. Playtech have once again pushed the boat out with their sound creation and use. Instead of the usual reel spinning sounds found in some slot games, they use a typical Wild West/Mexican inspired musical phrase of around 8 bars and split it between the spins so that on each spin you hear another part of an immersive, engaging song. The sound library used in such a game must be vast from the gunshots, vultures and coin drops just a few of the crystal-clear digital sounds used to make the game even more absorbing.
