- Fully-integrated mobile casino
- Handy FAQ section for common queries
Just now approaching the end of its first year of operation, Wixstars is one of the most talked-about casinos on the web right now. At their end-of-year party, we imagine there will be a lot of happy faces! They’ve put a lot of effort into not only developing a competitive games catalogue and bankrolling frequent bonuses, but also crafting a website which is fast, responsive and intuitive.
If you’re in the market for a new casino, check out our review and see if Wixstars hits the mark!
Slots Selection and Software
The slots selection at Wixstars is every bit as good as you might’ve hoped. Games are contributed by Netent, Microgaming, Play’n Go as well as at least half a dozen others. If you’re new to the online casino world, that means there’s a lot of games. Really, really good ones.
You can access the following filters to narrow your slots selection:
- Video slots
- Table games
- All games
While there’s also a search bar to find specific titles, this filtering system is a bit lacking – makes it hard to navigate when there are hundreds of possible options! However, the slots themselves are very promising: Thunderstruck II, Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and Rainbow Riches are all prominent and popular options. Joker Pro (among similar games) is there for those who prefer a simpler gambling experience.
Unfortunately there aren’t any proper progressive jackpots up for grabs at Wixstars. There’s Jackpot Jester 50000 which, if you play the maximum (£4 per spin) and hit the jackpot, will pay back a cool £200k. That’s nice, but the Jester isn’t a brilliant slot, and nowadays we expect games like Mega Moolah, Major Millions and Hall of Gods providing multi-million pound payouts.
It’s not a deal-breaker, but some players will be disappointed.
Table Games & Live Casino
What Wixstars does provide is a higher-than-average variety of table games, including:
- Scratch cards
There are also a few live casino options. Unfortunately, there’s only really 1-2 variations of each game – the real focus of the casino is on video slots!
As an instant play casino, all games run in your browser with no additional add-ons or downloads. The website is pretty slick and and responsive, though the lack of strong filter options on game selection is a bit of a bummer. Otherwise, the site runs really well and all the games load up sharpish!
Much like desktop play, the mobile casino is entirely web-based, with no dedicated app to download. The site is optimised for mobile use, and that means that all (or at least most) of the games are available to play from anywhere on your smartphone or tablet without oversized buttons or controls.
Wixstars offers all of the usual customer support platforms of telephone, live chat and email. However, they are also part of the minority of online casinos which also deliver a full, comprehensive FAQs section on their website. It is made up of 7 sections (with various subsections) and answers the vast majority of common queries – a great addition considering that their customer support is only active from 8am to 1am CET.
Banking at Wixstars seems pretty similar to most of its rivals: deposits are credited instantly (for everyone who doesn’t use bank transfer) without any fees, and withdrawals require a 48-hour processing period from the casino. Thereafter, e-wallets will be paid within a day, most other options within 2-3 days and again, bank transfer after 3-6 further days.
There doesn’t appear to be any hidden charges or extras, just a bit of a slow turnaround on payment times. There’s a minimum withdrawal of only £10, plus a maximum monthly withdrawal limit of £7k.
Wixstars seems to be a bit underrated for its quality. Their welcome bonus is certainly generous (with more free spins than anyone else is giving out) and the video slots selection is exceptionally well-honed. We’re a big fan of how Wixstars has created a fast, responsive website, and encourage you to check out their awesome promotions when you get a chance!
